Fall Round Up – A Great Success

Beacon Ranch, a recently established non profit corporation, held its inaugural event Saturday, Oct. 27.  The mission of Beacon Ranch is to foster community relationships and enhance education through agricultural and environmental experiences. Its operation is made sustainable through donations, volunteers, and the sale of goods produced from the farm.  The “Fall Round Up” was a big success despite the cold windy weather.

More than 100 people participated in the free food and games available.  Between the pumpkin decorating, face painting, cotton candy, hay ride, petting zoo, and other activities, the kids really seemed to enjoy the event. The free food, games, and raffle prizes were provided by Beacon Ranch, community volunteers, and the generous donations of several local businesses.  Beacon Ranch plans for the Fall Round Up to be an annual event and is also planning a spring event.  For more information about Beacon Ranch and its events, visit the website (beaconranch.org), facebook page, or email (beaconranch@gmail.com).
