December kidding brings excitement to the ranch. With all the family gatherings planned for Christmas and New Year’s, I am sure these goat kids will get frequent attention from young children in the upcoming weeks. Fall Round Up – A Great Success
Beacon Ranch, a recently established non profit corporation, held its inaugural event Saturday, Oct. 27. The mission of Beacon Ranch is to foster community relationships and enhance education through agricultural and environmental experiences. Its operation is made sustainable through donations, volunteers, and the sale of goods produced from the farm. The “Fall Round Up” was a big success despite the cold windy weather. More than 100 people participated in the free food and games available. Between the pumpkin decorating, face painting, cotton candy, hay ride, petting zoo, and other activities, the kids really seemed to enjoy the event. 2012 Fall Round Up
Beacon Ranch is a non profit corporation whose mission is to be a place where people feel safe and experience a sense of belonging through participation in hands-on activities focused on training, educating, and growing a love for rural life, agriculture, and the environment. We would like to kick things off with our first every non-profit event!
